I found this guy in my garage and kept him for two months in a well planted 20 L . I let him go next to a stream about 300 yards from my house. Two weeks later there he was hopping around the garage again. I was in shock how did he find his way back? I picked him up and put him back in the tank and threw a handful of crix in. He wasted no time swallowing them up. Did he make the journey back because he was fed well?The reason i was sure it was the same because he had a scar above his mouth.

Yes he came back because he was fed well. When I was a kid I made a little pond in our garden, very small like 20 gallons of water. I caught a huge bull frog and put him in it from the creek behind my house. I fed him huge earthworms almost everyday and he never left. He hibernated under our deck and we would hear him croak when it rained. He was there every year until we moved and never went back to the creek where I got him from even though the creek was so close to the house and had much more water for him. He stayed for the food
