Broken fixture?

Quick question..

i just bought a T5hO exo terra fixture but it won’t turn on. Is it broken or is there something I’m doing wrong? It came with the light already installed, but I took it out and put it in myself and it still doesn’t work.

Sometimes they're just broken. If you take it out and reinsert correctly, and it doesn't work, try out another outlet and that doesn't work, make sure the switch on the fixture is on and it doesn't work then it's probably busted.

You can take it back to the retailer and have them insert a different light to see if it's the light. If you got it from Amazon you can just send it back and exchange for a new one.

The bulbs typically have to turn in the socket if it is a drop in connection. If they plug in the connection needs to be fully made.

It's definitely annoying! It's happened to me twice and I've only had a chameleon for like three months. Once for a linear bulb and once for a basking bulb. Once with a great local shop and once with Amazon. Just get that return processed asap.

And like Beman said sometimes they're finicky. Do all the troubleshooting steps first. But if you do them to no avail, it's time to get a return going.
