His cage is sitting in front of a window looking down on a parking lot from the second story of my complex, the blinds are closed at night and his cage is also covered at night so the lights dont keep him up and then everything is open during the day.

I took my boy to the vet yesterday because he has been keeping on eye closed most of the day for a month now and I am going on vacation soon so I needed to get him to the vet before that. Well at the Vet they couldnt see anything obviously wrong with his eye other than that he was closing it. So they flushed his eye with what the vet said was a salt water saline wash or something and then she rubbed at his eye with a q-tip. Well today his eye is even worse, and now he wont even eat or drink or even move really. Attached is what his eye looks like today.

Before the vet visit Bowser was constantly exploring his cage, ate like normal, pooped regularly, and would just occasionally scratch his eye on a branch. I have another vet visit for the new issue but its not until Monday so I was hoping someone had any kind of clue what could have gone wrong with the vet. They think he might have an abscese now but they didnt see anything in both his eye just the day before. I'm really worried about him and feel so bad that i tried to help and it got worse so any information on this would be very much appreciated (if I left out any information please let me know and ill add it right away)

Also he has pretty regularly since I got him has gone and settled into his sleeping spot an hour or two before lights out and will close his eyes, I dont know if thats normal either but the vet didnt seem too worried about it when I mentioned it.

I'm sorry to hear that Bowser is having an eye problem. How experienced is your vet with chameleons? If it were me, I wouldn't take him back to that same vet.

Supposedly pretty experienced, they have treated chameleons before so I dont know. I tried a vet closer to me but they told me to go to this one. They gave me another vet to try but their exotic vet isnt in until Tuesday and I leave on Wednesday for a week trip and dont want him to be in this condition the whole time =(

Thanks, yah his poor eye has gotten even worse today its even puffier >.< I have that apt tomorrow at 8:20 AM. All the vets around me dont work on Sundays or their exotic vets arent in. I have no idea how im going to give him medication when my friend is watching him and she is only comfortable giving food... This is just the worst timing possible. I feel so bad for my guy...
