bottom temp

at the bottom of the cage with all the lights running etc it is only around 75f is this ok (this is right at the bottom plant pot level) the basking spot is fine atm just wondering if this was ok


edit: would help if i said what it was for ^_^ its for a yemen btw

Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders?

Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking?
Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites?
History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you.

Cage Info:
Cage Type - Describe your cage (Glass, Screen, Combo?) What are the dimensions?
Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule?
Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps?
Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity?
Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind?
Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor?
Location - Where are you geographically located?

Current Problem - The current problem you are concerned about.

* Lighting - flexerium 4ft 3ft just under 1ft
* Temperature - basking 90-100f atm cool side 75f and under
* Humidity - waiting for humidity probe thing to check (its on order)
* Plants - live and fake i have a dragons ivy weeping fig umbrella and 1 other which cant remember but was on safe list
* Placement - top of the cage is about a foot from the roof (its on a table like all our cages)
* Location - england


Current Problem - the cool side tempreture is a little low according to caresheets recomended 80f
 
For the love of Pete, no one can tell him if it's ok for a veiled to have a 75 and under temp in the coldest part of it's cage without him filling out all that?!?

95-100 is too hot... how old is your cham? For a veiled you want basking 80-85
 
yeah wtf

75 is ok but maybe a bit hot. I could see that 75 becoming 80 on a hot day and then you might be in trouble.
