boring diet, what else to feed??

hey everyone, well my veiled cham is now big enough where he is eating med sized crickets and some large sized crickets pretty easily (sometimes). he is about 4 inches long without the tail. What else can i feed him? or should i stick to crickets till he is bigger. also, what is good for him, what would be a treat for him. not sure need some help. all websites say something differ. i want to place an order with mulberry farms but i just dont know what to order. thanks!

You can start feeding him any of those above immediately. Just make sure the size is OK.
Mealworms and butterflies are not recommended as a permanent feeder, so they can be his treats, if you want.
From my experience I can say they love hunting flies.

what is up with mulberry?? they are out of like all types of worms? it says sold out for a lot of their stuff.

You can try super worms, but limit them so the cham doesn't get addicted to them, or roachs are a good feeder.

you should definatley start trying house flies or blue bottle flies

Where do you get blue bottle flies from? Are the maggots from fishing tackle shops blue bottlegrubs? are they nutritious? I thought they lived on icky rotten meat and stuff???

coastal silkworm had some silks up finally. or hornworms,butterworms,waxworms from mulberry farms

non-noxious butterflies(T), moths(T), roaches(S), praying mantids(S/T), stick insects(S/T), grasshoppers(S/T), field crickets (big black ones)(S/T), superworms(T), hornworms(T), silkworms(S/T), butterworms(T), waxworms(T), silkmoths(T), waxmoths(T), newly molted darkling (superworm) beetles(T), hornworm moths(T)....

Also phoenix worms but I never feed my chams those.

something about their recent batch being "spoiled" and they didnt want to sell them...so they are currently raising some right now...

should be up in a couple of days or weeks...

yes they are nutritous

i dont reccomend getting them outdoors

you can breed them like fruit flies and here is a way you can breed them in your reptiles tank

I feed my chameleons a variety of insects from the moment they hatch. Lots of options available - just make sure the size of the insect is appropriate to the size of the chameleon.

I just got stocked up on tons of phoenix worms, crickets, and superworms from mullberry farms. Rob at greatlakes hornworms hooks me up on hornworms. Call rob and tell him tom kilgour sent you! He rocks and his worms are amazing!
