OMG how terrible! I'm so sorry for your loss :(
If I had any experience or if I knew what to do I would help you out. I think you need to get the eggs and put them in an incubator. Anyone with prior knowledge care to help out or add more? Sorry I don't know too much but I'm sorry for your loss again.

I'm so sorry to hear this!

This is the only video I have found to give you a visual aid in how to prepare the eggs in a container: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0Rq-EzsBuY&feature=related

This is my blog on what I did with my own panther eggs, to help you a little more hopefully: http://muchadoaboutchameleons.blogspot.com/2012/11/panther-chameleon-breeding-eggs.html
I use vermicuite.

Hopefully someone with species-specific experience will give you the finer details, such as optimum incubation temperatures.

If you plan to extract the eggs because you believe they are fertile it had to be done fast like within 15 minutes of death or the eggs will die. That is what I have heard from multiple sources.

Sorry to hear this. Have you had any fecals and follow up fecals done on your other wild caughts? Eating well, drinking well, even great apparent health standings all mean squat if whats inside is brewing up a storm.

This is a good point... Get fecals done on them asap. They were in good health and hydrated well upon arrival. Treatments should not be an issue with them, and im willing to bet theyre gonna need it...

Don't think is true...the eggs are not relying on maternal blood for survival after the shell forms so they wouldn't suffocate or anything. I don't see why it would have an effect on them at all. I've heard many stories from people who find turtles hit by cars on the road that have definitely been dead longer than that and the eggs were incubated successfully and hatched. It's worth a shot to try to incubate them.

I'm definitely taking them to the vet and getting them treated for parasites and will probably get another female.
Thanks ferret for the clarification I was worried try wouldn't make it.

Sorry for your loss. Hope the eggs are O.K. It would be something if we could see some babies after this story! Good Luck! :)

I would never be able to cut one of my chams open. Much respect to you haha. Let us know what happens with those eggs!

That sucks to hear. Did you get the eggs she laid incubating? Even the nicest specimen are a crap shoot to get to lay even perfect conditions. Hope the eggs do well.
