Blue bars are always black?

i have a male blue bar ambilobe and the only time his bars are blue are when he is sleeping or outside of the cage. He is 7 months. Is this normal?

yes, it is ok. My Sambava usually displays dark bars in his cage also. Nothing to worry about!
