Black soldier flys

Ok so my panther got bored of calci worms after not too long so I decided to let them hatch into flys. I have about 20 hatching a day out of approx 360 lol.

Ive been reading alot that people are only feeding the flys off like once a week. I am curious as to why? If I were to feed them off daily but also alongside the likes of locusts, mealworms, crickets etc would this be a bad thing? Obviously they wouldnt be the staple diet as variety is the key to a healthy cham.

That plan shouldnt be an issue. As long as you are feeding other insects that gut load well along with them. I think what most people are concerned about it feeding primarily the flies as they dont gutload and dont have much nutrition.

Cool thanks.

Ill definitely be feeding other insects. I read that they have just about thw same nutrition as the worms or do they lose alot once they transform? ( I dont know the correct term lol)

Also would they need dusted?

A good alternative is blue bottle flies. They can gutload a little bit and are a good feeder to add. Check out mantispets.com
