That's good to know. What if I clean the fountain regularly? I use a toothbrush to scrub the hard to reach areas in the fountain. It's one of those rock-looking fountains. I find that my female absolutely loves to drink from the running water of the fountain. She prefers that over any other method; whereas my male likes it when I use a spray bottle and directly squirt some water in his mouth. I wouldn't want to take the fountain away from my female since she goes there as a drinking source that she got used to.

Glad to hear you cought it right on time! And glad to hear the clinic worked OK for you, now we all know where to go in the GTA.
I also suggest to remove the fountain, I know your female likes it, but even scrubbing with a tooth brush might leave some microscopical bacteria for your chams to ingest. I think there is more risks than advantages.
Your female will get use to drinking water from leaves or other places. Besides, they'll have a bit ore room with out it, just my 2 ¢

If your female really prefers drinking from running water, you could get a rock dish and run an air line and air stone in it to create movement. Easier to keep clean, more space for the chams, and yet she may still like it.
I had a verrucosus who would drink out of my cupped hand. I would start spraying the cage until he started licking water dripping off leaves. Then put my hand under the leaves, then offer my hand with water in the palm and he would switch from the leaves to my hand. Very cool to have a cham fearlessly lick my skin.
