what is the maximum size for a cage for a 5-6 moth old cham that eats free- ranged crickets?I will be cup feeding at around 8 months but I just want to know the max size?

Well, there really is not a "max" size. I house my male Veiled in a 24X24X48 screen cage and he went in that at 4.5 months old, but he was and is a huge guy. Why cup feed if he eats well free-ranging, and by free-ranging I assume that you just put his 8 or so crickets in the cage on the days that he eats them.

yes he eats a little more than that. He has an appetite.

people tell me my cage is too big for the little one because he is so small it would be hard for him to hunt.

How big is he? If he is a good hunter and you witness him eating then it should not be a problem.

It is a little hard for him. I guess he's about 5-6 inches. Maybe seven.

I wouldn't fill it up as much, to make it easier on him.

Yeah, he should be fine. What size cage is he in? I usually keep it simple in the beginning. When there young.

I did screenof some of it to make it smaller I will probably build him a smaller cage tommorrow.
