Hey everyone! I’m new here but have been reading these foarms like crazy looking for answers!
I just adopted this 8 month old veiled chameleon from someone who was moving and couldn’t take her with them. She was beautiful and green and friendly.
For Christmas weekend I took my family out of town and had my brother in law feed her and mist/water her. When I got back she had this really bad black spot on both sides of her stomache. (That’s when I found the forums.)
From what I have read it seams like she could have fallen, been burnt or maybe have been bitten by a cricket? I’m curious and am thinking maybe it could be that she didn’t eat very well and drink while I was gone? Or maybe something with eggs? I gave her an egg laying container, but nothing. She is mid shed right now( which I think is a good sign, right?) and when she lets me hold her, her grip is very strong still.
Her side also turned white, like in the photos, but the rest of her turned dark, because she was scared and trying to hide, but something is not right I think.
She eats, she drinks, she basks she is active, I just am worried about her side, please help.
