Big Baby

This guy hatched out a couple of days ago after 10+ months in the egg. Some of his clutchmates started hatching almost two months ago, and were large, but he took his sweet time. His and a few other eggs that are still going were just ginormous and I was really wondering how big the babies would be and now I see; he's a little handful!

Is he really that big compared to the others? I've never had the chance to see hatchling chameleons besides in pictures.
I can't imagine how small they really are (unless you have big hands )!

Yeah, I've got some that are 2-3 weeks out of the egg that are still quite a bit smaller than that guy was at hatching. Another one of the "ginormous" eggs is slit right now so hopefully I'll have another big one fresh out of the egg to photo with some older kids tomorrow.

Wow that is some baby Kent, he may have arrived big, but if he stops growing you know where I am.

My 3 gram Smidg is now a huge almost 35 grams!!!
