Better for laying? Fertile or infertile?

Does it make a difference for a chameleon when laying if the eggs are fertile or not?

Someone told me the eggs are usually smaller and less firm which makes it harder for them to push out which increases the chance for being eggbound. Is there no real proof or truth to that?

I have found that fertile eggs in veileds and panther are bigger and much harder on the female.

Sometimes infertile eggs got a little more rough and soft surface which can support eggs sticking together. But that's just an opportunity. A healthy chameleon kept well can lay infertile eggs without problems, too. Most cases of eggbound chameleons are caused by poor keeping conditions and definitely not by infertile eggs.
