Best way to "tame" panther chameleon

Hey I have a 7 month old panther chameleon, male. He is very aggressive when he is in his cage. (Hissing, biting) once he is out of the cage he calms down a lot. I am wondering what is the best way to so called tame him? I have tried hand feeding but he just hisses at it.

If you have a safe area where you can free range him that usually helps, that and allot of interaction.
