Best way to protect walls.

So, I'm in the process of building a cage for a panther I hope I can get in a couple weeks.

The cage will be in my room, and I was planning on getting a fogger or a rain system to keep the humidity up. I'm guessing you all know that humidity damages walls. Do you guys have any ideas on what I could do to keep the water from damaging the wall? My cage will have 5 sides, so I was thinking I could make the back out of glass/acrylic, would that be stressful for the chameleon though? Since he could see his reflection and get startled.

Any suggestions?

If it's the back, why not use wood or plastic? If you get a mister, you could use plastic sheeting on the side(s) that are closest to the wall. This will keep the moisture in (helping with the humidity levels) and keep it off of the walls.

i don't know if yah like Halloween but they sell like 40 foot rolls of this garbage bag materiel type of stuff that looks like castles and old brick walls yada yada u get my point i have 11 cages in a row against wall so i just bought a roll of brick style and it usually is 40 ft long and 6 feet high so i just ran on 15 foot sheet along the wall pinned it and that was that. Only cost 20 bucks that was 4 years ago and it cleans and looks great i still have 25 feet left lol

I have the same problem and was going to put up a clear plastic back but lightly sand it with about 1000 grit sand paper to make it so it has no reflection. Im not sure if its the best thing to do just an idea.
