Best incubator?

I don't use a real incubator. I have a wooden frame that is screened over which fits over a human heating pad. The egg containers sit on the screen and the frame can be raised along with adjusting the setting on the heating pad to get the right temperature. I use pieces of cardboard fastened together in a rectangle that I sit over the whole thing (walls of cardboard...no lid) to stop the light from getting at the eggs. The whole thing is on a counter in the basement.

I have hatched several species of chameleons, geckos as well as conehead, water dragon and turtle eggs, etc. with this "incubator". I like that with it being "open" to the room, the temperature can fluctuate somewhat with the room temperature. All hatch rates have been very good with this method.

If you have a shelf in a closet somewhere in your house that provides the right temperature you don't need an incubator, BTW.
