Best cage?

After taking into consideration some advice that I have received from more than a few people on here (great advice, btw). I decided that I should just go ahead and purchase a complete beginners set-up enclosure for my first cham. I will take everyone's advice when it's time to move my baby cham into his 24x24x48 enclosure, which was buy everything individually, and set it up piece by piece, instead of getting everything at once in bulk since it would be cheaper in the long run by doing so.

So, I have narrowed it down to these two set-ups. Which do you think would be best for my new chameleon, which I also haven't decided on... Deciding between a clutch from Hunter on flchams.com or Cyrus on chameleonsonly.com

I would go with the chamleons only one, It' bigger and he'd be able to live in it longer!

Mistking looks pretty difficult to assemble/use....Can't misting on your own be sufficient enough?

Yes hand misting can be sufficient if you can be there consistaly to do it.
The mistking is not bad at all to set up tho and Marty is great with support as are the other members and i have even talked a few people through it on the phone.

I've watched videos on mistking its simple and terrific!! I do hand mist now with a chemicak sprayer. It gets tedious but the bonding time is nice.
Mistking helps when u leave on vaca. So misting isn't put on someone.
Or if ur like me and leave early in the morning u an set it and lights by timer later in the morning so u can enjoy ur cham a little later In the evening. As of now i get home with about 1 1/2 hrs until chammy night night. Mistking coming mid may for me u dont have to use the mist king as a primary but its nice

Not at all, the mistking is super easy to use. You set the timer and it does all the work for you, except filling the reservoir and emptying any drainage you use. Hand misting is fine, but something automated like the mistking will allow you to be gone all day and not have to run back several times to water. Or leave for a weekend and know that water is taken care of.

Of the two options, #2 seems like a better deal. But it's true that you can probably find the same stuff for cheaper.

Another quick thought.
I agree with olimpia on #2 seeming better. I have found through personal experience buying things that work the same maybe better like sticks from craft stores thermometer from home depot as welk as lighting fixtures from big box stores and leaving cages (unless u do it urself) supplements and bulbs to pet stores (heat bulbs can be found anywhere)
U can make it more custom for even cheaper!

I belive he ment diy. Do it yourself. Which u can many good plans.

But I think hoj was referring to diycages.com a terrific site in a budget.

And yes it would be big but on alot of screen cages u can raise the bottom and lower It as they grow. Raising the bottom and gettin it stay up is something to figure out. They don't come with that feature advertised

Sorry it should have been DIY they are a site sponsor and make nice cages from what i hear. A large cage would be big for a baby but will be essential within a few months. You can block off part of a larger cage. Or plan to purchase another cage in the near future.

U can raise the bottom or make a stand that fits in the cage to hold a false bottom
