Hi cham people!
My little guy got both branches and plants to bask on but he seems to prefer hanging up side down in the roof and bask :/ could this be harmful in anyway? Should I redirect the lamp and in that way force him too bask on a branch?
Mine does that. not sure why because only two of them do it regularly and one is a panther female the other a veiled male. just make sure the light is far enough that it wont burn him while he basks
Pics might be helpful but if he is a baby then hanging around upside down is just part of what they do . If you have provided a nice branch for him and he ignores it then it's up to him, as long as he can't get near enough the light to burn himself (especially his little feet). Keep a close eye on temps and let him work it out for himself. When they get bigger then climbing upside down is more difficult and they don't do it.
I'll have to agree with DavidBuchan. When I first got my little guy Ringo, he would constantly hang upside down under his basking light. That was in his baby cage. Now thats hes been moved to his adult cage, he lays on his branch under the light.
ah thank you! I just thought it was weird that he rather hang in the roof than chill'in on a branch or a big nice umbrella plant But I guess he's okay then, and no both the lamps are on a safe distance for him
