Basking temps

I have another question about Penelope's home. At her basking spot the temps range between 81*-82*. Is this a good basking temp for such a young female veiled? (not sure of her age. She is between 2-3 inches nose to vent. It cools off to the low 70's at night. Her lights are on a timer 7am -7pm and she is misted 3 times a day. She is in a 12X12X18 Exo Terra Glass Terrarium and as soon as she is a little bigger I will be moving her to a 18X18X36 all screen enclosure. She has plenty of fake foliage to hide in and vines and grape vine branches to climb on. She is eating and drinking very well. In fact she started to shed today.
Just wanted to say that I am so fortunate to be a member of Chameleon Forums. I recommend this forum to every one I know who owns a chameleon. I have always been given great advice and had my questions answered when I asked them. thanks again everyone.

Young chams overheat a little more easily than adults. It is best to err on the lower side and watch her behavior. If she's cold, she'll be less active, eat less, and spend more of the day basking.
