Basking Temp??

I have a 3-4 month old Nosy Faly female. I was using a blue zoomed day bulb that is 60 watts for her basking bulb. The vine under it is about 6" away. Today she was basking and opening her mouth. I did a temp read out on the basking spot and it was about 90 degrees. I immediately went out and got a 40 watt zoo med day bulb because I've heard they gape because it is too hot. Does anyone know what a good basking temp should be? Thanks a lot all.

Now I'm getting a 78 degree read out from the lower watt bulb. Is this too low??

Thanks for the reply. I'm trying to find a way to elevate this light. It is a pain. I'll work something out here by lowering the basking spot and raising the light. Really appreciate the response.
