bask or no bask?

I just tried using the 60 watt day glo bulb for my quad's 4 foot high cage. a probe right near the basking bulb (3 or 4 inches above the branch closest to the bulb) shows a reading of 76-77 on the digi.

On the floor of the cage stands a digi therm/hygro that says 61 degrees, so I dont know if something is messed up or there could in fact be that large of a temp drop. I guess a bask bulb could change the temp pretty drastically when comparing the very bottom of the cage to almost right under the light. regardless, I thought that uvb alone was a little too cold, i would get a reading of 67-68 degrees from the digi therm at the top. It was probably perfect with the 40 watt house bulb in there, kept 72 at the top, but it blew out very quickly for some reason so I decided to take that opportunity just to see what I'd get with the day glo...

anyway, i'm probably obsessing over this too much, but should I go back to a regular house bulb or just use nothing at all for heat? I also was thinking that using a bask bulb helps a lot with giving them a temp drop at night, since obviously it goes off then.

nvm, i know, house bulbs are fine. i've just been freakin out lately, he's still a new cham and a little under stress and/or temps slightly too low.
