Bamboo

Hey almost done with my cage, I was not satisfied with the climbing vines so I went and picked up some bamboo sticks.

I have two questions.

1) The bamboo was outside at the nursery, should I cut it up and bake it at 350 degrees?

2) Does bamboo mold from the moisture and humidity? Since its hollow inside...pics of the cage will be up tonight sometime.

i had bamboo in my old cage. i baked it just to be safe. it didnt seem to mold but i only had it in there for a couple months. i notied that it was very hard for my cham to grasp. it was about .75" diameter, and was very difficult for him to maneuver on
