so now that its winter an the humidity is getting low im gonna cover 3 of my side was just wondering if i get a diffrent colord backgound will it make my panther wanna be more colors so well a black one work the same

It doesn't matter what color the background is. Colors displayed on a chameleon are related to his mood.
 
Depends on your chameleons personality. Usually getting them fired up is as easy as putting them in front of a mirror. Some chameleons don't respond to it though.
 
You don't want your chameleon to be in a perpetual state of excitement. While pretty to look at, it's stressful for the animal.

For your background you should pick something that shows your chameleon off well. I would think that means simple, possibly dark.
