Back to school!

So, last fall I officially became a stay at home dad as the VA deemed me disabled due to my health. Well I'm here to say that I stand United with all stay at home parents. In many ways this job is more difficult than running a machine shop like I used to do. So today as I was dropping my son off to his first day of first grade.... I was sad. He's growing up so fast! However, it was funny because at the same time I was feeling sad, I was also hearing that song in my head that says: "It's the MOST wonderful tiiime of the Yeeaaar!" I finally understand why my own mother seemed so happy when my brothers and I went back to school.

Mixed emotions just seem to be a part of the first day of school...and soon it will be mixed emotions as they move on to first dwy of high school and then the first day of university or their first "real" job and it just never stops! Welcome e to the rollercoaster!
