Babys, babys, one after another

So My first clutch of 14 panther eggs have been hatching out since April 6th.. Id have a baby hatch every 2 to 4 days or so.

The last egg hatched Monday May 18th.. so It took well over a month for them all to hatch.

I have 11 babys doing well. 3 that did not seem to eat and died shortly after hatching

So yesterday (the day after the last egg hatched) I take a peek at the second clutch I have and see TWO EGGS HAVE PIPED and one more sweating!

The second clutch was laid 45 days after the first clutch so it make sense that they would be hatching now.. but jeepers, I thought I have a few weeks break inbetween clutches. I have about 32 eggs in this second clutch

Good thing I have a lot of fruit flies.

Congrats & WOW, I had 25 veiled hatchs and about 40 more due soon. You will need LOTS of fruit flys. We could trade a bunch of veileds for a female panther?? Well is sure sounded good for me.

My female had laid her very first clutch (first ever) in August with only 14 or of 35 eggs being good... then 45 days later laid a second clutch of 35 eggs with 32 of them being good.

I did not diapause them. I just had them in containers of hatchrite in the closet. The temp stayed pretty consistent at 72- 76 degrees.

The first baby hatched 7 and a half months after they where laid. Then I got a baby every 2 to 4 days until the last baby hatched 6 weeks later. So 14 babys hatched out over a 6 week period.

THEN just a day after, the second clutch from the same female piped. So far I have had 5 babys hatch from this second clutch. I have 32 eggs in all in this second one. These babys are hatching faster then the first clutch, but then again I over double as many eggs.

I just moved two of the biggest babys out of the aquarium and into a small screened cage. I will try to get a few pictures.
