Baby Veiled Chameleon walking funny... I'm worried

So about 2 months ago i bought a baby veiled chameleon. He is so adorable and is a perfect fit in our home. Recently, maybe 3 days ago, his back legs started to look weird and he is walking weird. It seems like he can't grasp things fully and he is mainly using his front legs. It hurts me seeing him walk so weird. I read that he might have a calcium deficiency so today I dusted his crickets and put some calcium in his water. His legs look so weird and makes me upset. I love this little guy to death.</3 he can't climb and breathes hard. any suggestions on what i should do or what's going on??):

Sorry to hear about your little guy.

Sounds like early onset of metabolic bone disease. It isn't the end of the road as long as you get on top of it.

MBD isnt cureable but is treatable. she will need calcium injections and probally a vet to give a dose. do you have cal with d3, without d3, and multies? i know she hasnt eaten but when she starts dust het crikets good and make shure you gutload good. "

I have had critters I rescued that had mbd. I didn't take them to the vet but was just very picky over what I fed them and gutloaded them.

What kind of lighting does it have? Proper lighting is crucial for them as well.

Thank you! i went out and bought him a new bulb that shines down the vitamins. I was unaware that they needed 3 lights total. I also bought some worms that have vitamins in them too i hope he gets better soon. It makes me so sad to see him all hurt and not able to climb.

What do you mean "3 lights"? Basically you need two...a basking light for heat, a UVB light to permit metabolism of Vitamin B3 and calcium, and that's it. NO lighting or heat at night unless your room gets colder than 50F.

Don't put calcium in his water!

Chams need 3 types of supplement dusts on a specific schedule:

Plain calcium dust every day.
Calcium dust with added vitamin D3 once every 2 weeks.
Multivitamin dust (for reptiles) once every 2 weeks.

You also need to feed his insects well. The dusts are only supplemental, not his entire nutrition. There are very good insect gutloads available from forum sponsors that will help a lot.
