Baby panther stripe

Occasionally my almost 4 month blue bar ambilobe gets a very white horiZontel line across his body. It varies in shade of white. What is this supposed to mean He is pissed? Or happy? It seems his stripe is usually when the rest of him is a lighter shade. When he gets mad he is a little darker and his bars stick out more. Or am I wrong someone clarify please thanks all u are all awesome

that would be the lateral stipe i believe and when your cham darkens it will definatly be more pronounced. i find if i take my nosy be outside he darkens a bit and his white stipe really shows.

Usually the stripe shows when he is about to eat or drink and his bars do darken when this happens , is the stripe sign o stress? So is it negative? I feel like its a little tougher to tell since he's young

It's not negative at all. My panthers display it all the time. It's normal.

Okay im just trying to avoid stressing him if seems like anytime the door gets opened he fringes and wants to get on top to avoid me. But only time doors open is for feeders really
