Yesterday I went to a petco and found a baby veiled chameleon about 2 months old. I decided to buy him and I have a couple of questions. How many crickets do I feed him and I don't know its gender. Can anyone tell?

it looks to be a female to me! and she should be able to eat anywhere from 8-15 crickets a day!

Agreed, looks female. Number of crickets depends on the size of the crickets. At this age you should be feeding however many she'll eat. You should cut back on feeding when she becomes 5-6 months old.

And, check out the forum husbandry info under the Resources tab above. Don't pay attention to whatever the pet store told you...they tend to be pretty clueless about care!!! Also, make sure the setup products, lights, gutloads, supplements are really what you need. Much of their stuff is junk.
