Ooh cute I'd be excited too if I were you, I hate waiting for things like that!
I'm actually planning on selling both Monty and the baby eventually. I was just fostering the baby, so.. We aren't planning on keeping him for TOO long.
I know I cannot make a profit off the baby until he grows, since I paid 50 for him, I don't want to lose on this (even if it does sound selfish) and along with the money I earned over summer, and money that monty might bring in (first cham so I most likely wont sell him, but he is a jerk, and I want a panther) I might be able to afford a panther from a reputable company.
Preferably an adult from someone like Dr O, or just an adult from anyone who knows what they're doing. a) because i get to know the temperament before buying, and b) it will already be grown and I won't have to deal with baby crickets & flies
Very true, panthers are very expensive, especially from a reputable breeder. I was actually able to find mine at a decent price shipped and 50 free Dubia. And the enclosure was much cheaper than with my jax because I had no clue what I was doing when I first got my jax lol. Maybe monte will lighten up one of these days and you can have a jax, a panther and a veiled! Probably my plan, and maybe a verrucas or a parsonii in the distant future lol

Monty might just be going through cham puberty, but I heard that usually panthers that are aggressive tend to mellow out with age, so maybe it's the same for veileds.
I hope this is just a phase, but even so, he is just generally unpleasant.
Not sure..... My Jackson has only tried to bite at me 1 time and it was the first time I had her outside she was very scared I wish I could take her out more often but Colorado has weird weather......90 one day and snowing the next lol. I hope Monty will calm down for you .. I get startled when my 8 inch jax tries to bite........ I can only imagine a big veiled ! Ha ha

they are very cute when there so small! i love sitting and watching him clamber around his cage, especially when he spots me watching and suddenly stops dead still.
have you decided on a name for the little one yet?
