I recently bought a female who had eight babies, I have them in a separate tank for now to help contain the fruit flies, but will be moving to screen enclosure. How long can I keep the neonates together? I notice they are pretty dark in color the majority of the time, is this stress? Thanx alot...mike

Jacksons babies are always a dark grey color for the first 3-4 months. They will begin to turn green at this point (3-4 months), but it isn't over night. You can keep them together for a couple of months, depending on the cage size. For 8 babies, I would seperate them into 2 groups of 4 in at least a 18"x18"x30" screen cage by at least 2 months of age. Check this out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKTbUaOQ0aA
