Baby Hatching!

So I have what appears to be the first hatchling out of a clutch of 28 ambilobe eggs today. I noticed a cut out in the egg this morning, but did not see movement.

Tonight the hole seemed to be bigger, but I still do not see any real movement. But I can see the head of what appears to be a fully developed baby panther.

Am I just freaking out? Or can the actual process take a few days? Is there anything I should do?

All the other eggs seem really plump but none look like they are sweating or about to begin.

Temps are 78. They are a little past 8 months old.

Thanks, this is my first clutch so Im pretty excited

Thats awesome! Mine took around 24 hours after they pipped but I have heard that it can take 48 hours for them to climb out of the egg. Hope you have your friutflies ready! Mine did not really start eating like crazy until 3 or 4 days after hatching so you have plenty of time. Good luck and congradulations!

Yeah, dont do anything but keep checking every few hrs. Order some pinheads ad some fruit flies. And congrats theres nothing more exciting than your first clutch of babies.
