Baby cage?

Hi there
I know that you need a smaller cage for the chameleon for until it is 9 months old and can go into an adult cage! This got me thinking, however, why do the babies need a smaller cage? Wouldn't it be better for them to have more room to explore like they would in the wild?
All comments are appreciated :)

JJ,

It all comes down to keeping food in front of them; if you are not monitoring them to make sure all are eating, you need to put enough food in front of them all, so they all are eating.
A bigger cage reduces the chances greatly that the chameleons will all get fed enough.

CHEERS!
