So the babies hatched about a week to two weeks ago and I’ve been watching the behavior . It has been interesting because I expected their behavior to be more like their parents and that they would spend most time up high in the branches, of course these branches are lower and twigs like I figured they would be in the wild. But they have spent most time in the leaf litter. When misted they head for the trees, and of course when sleeping.
I noticed that many escaped fruit flys We’re down in the leaf litter. Once I observed it kind of made sense that they would spend their time down here being that size this is where most of their prey would exist in the wild.
