is this the best long tube uvb that there is??? or should i go for a stronger one or the desert on instead of the forest one because of the mesh??

6% is plenty unless you have a very tall cage that is HEAVILY planted

I use ONE 12%, but my "tank" is 7ft tall. Id stick with the recommended combo of 1 6% and 1 6500k with a reflector hood. With that combo in my other tank, im getting better readings at 24" vs my old 10.0.

I can give you readings if you IM me the distances you want. My bulbs are 6 months old.
