So i just got my 6.0 tropical arcadias today. I hear they are 10x better at producing better uvb and uvb depth, than the reptisun. Will i notice a difference in my chameleons activity or health?

I noticed an immediate difference in activity and color when I first switched. Also had a great reflector that made a big difference!

Good to know. When I changed the bulb I noticed the reptisun had burn out marks on the edges. Does that mean its strength also probably lowered?? ive only had that bout 3 months

It may have, all UVB bulbs deminish in intensity over time. The Arcadia T5 should last a year. The bulbs will usually show marks by the ends, that's normal.

Definitely noticed a difference in my chameleon when I switched to the arcadia last month. I dont know if its just a placebo effect or what but i feel like my veileds last shed was alot quicker with little to no stuck shed. Only thing that changed in his daily routine was the bulb.

I am actually noticing that my guys blues are more vibrant with this UVB. so looks like it was a good choice switching, which is what I planned to do all along just didn't want to waste the t5 UVB that came with my fixture

Just take him out into the sun, see how his colors change out there. No UVB is better than the sun!

Oh absolutely thats a given.. i need to work on an outdoor enclosure.. lots of stray cats eeek

Yeah, i feel your pain with the stray cats. Tons of them around my apartment. Luckily I live on the second floor so I dont have to worry about leaving my chameleon alone in his outdoor enclosure on the balcony. The only thing that bugs me is that the cats use the front lawn as their litter box.... Stinks so bad on hot days
