AquaZamp.?

So I'm thinking of buying an aquazamp this summer for the large custom built cage I'll also be building this summer. I have a few questions though. Sorry, don't know a lot about them.

1) What do you store the water in.? I didn't think the four gallon one would be that much so I was going to put it in a 30 gallon tank and put a heater in it. Would this work.?

2) How many nozzles does it come with.? I was looking at putting three nozzles in the cage, as when it is split up it will be three separate cages.

3) At the bottom is said you get to pick between the rain dome and the misting nozzle kit. What's the difference.? Which is best.?

4) How reliable is this system.? Do you run only distilled water through it.?

I think that is it. Sorry, didn't mean to ask so many questions. Just want to get everything right. :)

i use a mist king but they are very close ( rain dome is basically a small plastic umbrella that captures some mist on the insides and drips like rain to help stimulate drinking), i use filtered water (you could use distilled, im sure it would reduce the frequency of cleanings on the nozzles), i also use a heater in my resivoir so the temp of the mist is not shocking to my chams..from what i know its mistking or aquazamp..otherwise you are wasting money..

p.s. if you still get just the mist set, im sure you could make a "rain dome" i stopped using the one i made, just too much water..not enough ambient mist

Well I was going to go with a mistking, but didn't know how to drill a hole in a glass tank so I decided aquazamp.

What's the difference between a rain dome and a misting nozzle kit.?

rain dome is basically that, rain..mainly droplets that form in a circle and disperse with a small amooutn of pressurized mist following..mistking is basically just a fog type mist, but you can make a rain dome type set up for it..both work totally fine, so its just what you feel would work best for you..maybe check youtoob and just see some vids on both..give yerself a good decision maker..:)

What do you store your water in for the mistking.? I really liked the mistking, just didn't think the whole fish tank thing would work with it.

i use a black 5 gallon bucket..its clean and was really easy..i used a knife and spun it in circles to make the hole on the bottom of the plastic bucket

And does that water last pretty long.?

Sorry again for all the questions..

i fill it up once every two weeks (clean it out too) and my timer settings are this

9:00 am mist for 18 seconds

10:00 am mist for 18 seconds

11:00 am mist for 18 seconds

nothing for 2 hours

1:00 mist for 1 minute

nothing for 2 hours

3:00 mist for 18 sec..and so on (18 sec.) untill 6:00 pm 1 and a half hours before bedtime to totally dry off.. and that water lasts..and its a warm mist not cold..

I do my set ups pretty much the same way. I have the largest submersible heater that fits in a 5 gal bucket. I have no idea how often my bucket fills as it auto fills. I can tell you mine does 4 cages 5 times a day for 5 minutes each time, I have montanes. I only use r/o water in it.

From the looks of it, seems like aquazamp is a mister/dripper in one, I was going to buy a misting system AND make a dripper as well, now I think I will spend the extra $25 and get this system instead! videos i just watched on Youtube the chams seemed to love it and even get excited when it turned on:)

I use both, but am totally sold on the Aquazamp.
Kevin has great customer service, USA products, don't have to be shipped from Canada(although a couple of companies are selling them here in the US)
The "rain" effect from the AZ dome is great, it really simulates rain, where the mistking is more of a, well, mist that has to be on long enough to form droplets to drink.
Look on the Aquazamp website, it will tell you everything that is included, and what extras you can buy if neccessary.

It will be easier for you to look at them and decide, just takes a little of your time and reading

Actually Kevin messaged me himself and answered all my questions. Completely made up my mind and secured my future purchase. He is very nice and I liked talking to him. Great guy. I'll be buying it this summer, can't wait.

He is. I was debating between aquazamp and mistking, had a seperate post, but because of his wonderful service I am buying it. Getting the big pack, with the three nozzle raindomes thing. Is it easy to set up.?
