Appreciate your teachers

I wanted to make this thread because today, was probably the saddest day of school. For me, teachers are one of the most important people in our lives. They are all different and they all teach us new things, whether it is about life or how to use a few commas. My Spanish teacher died suddenly today. She had many medical issues and was in the hospital for about a week in a half. She was very strong though. She had a great sense of humor, even when she had medical procedures the day before. Everyone found out right when lunch started. Seeing everyone this upset made me realize how much we care about teachers, how much we look up to them. So remember your teachers and what they did for you. It's not an easy job, you know.

I'm so sorry that you have to go through this. I've been out of school for well over a decade (and a 1/2, but who's counting), and still remember with fondness some of my teachers. The good ones have a way into your hearts and seem to stay there. :(

I am sorry you lost your teacher! I have been out of school 14 years now, but I still remember each and every one of my favorite teachers. It's really cool now, because my son, who is 14, is now at my old middle school and has had a couple of my old teachers and they are still just as great as they always were. I think they are sometimes the most underappreciated professionals out there, and I think they should be recognized for how much they do for our kids.

That is so sad, but thank you for appreciating your teacher(s). Our greatest joy is knowing we have made a positive impact on our students in some way. She would be pleased to know what you think of her.
