This is a large mature male and I've been pleasantly surprised at how well he has done. He was fat when I bought him the day after import and has gained 7g since. He's pretty laid back--I just love his temperament. He has really magnificent red claws--which probably don't show up in a picture taken on my phone. I find that everything looks faded compared to what it really is.
He's starting to show some really interesting colors on his face and cheeks--rich gold, buttery yellow, cerulean blue and neon green. The bright neon green was a surprise--that showed up as he sheds his face scale by scale. I can hardly wait until he sheds his cheeks and I get a preview of the colors he will be in 6 months or so. The blues on these last two imports are very different, more on the blue side rather than green.
When I took the pictures, I got to see all the dirt that is ground into his horns. I feel like taking a soft tooth brush to his face, but probably leaving him alone is better. Poor thing.
