I just got some for my little dude :)

Hopefully he's going to munch them up and they won't last too long (I bought 30x small ones). What I'd like to know, is if i fridge them (to slow them down a bit until he gets the idea of them - he's not the fastest chameleon in the world) will they survive the cold? I was thinking of just fridging them for an hour or so before feeding them to him as he normally flies to his bowl as soon as the food goes in there once he's warmed up a bit.

Anyone tried this? I tried it with locusts and they all died :(

Don't freeze them because they will die. Just put some fruit and veggies in the container you keep them in and they will stay alive. The warmer you keep them they better they are and the more they will breed when they get older if you don't feed them all off

I'm not really fussed about keeping them and breeding them - I'm happy to just keep ordering them for the ease of it and they are relatively cheap anyway. Just wondering if chilling them (not freezing) would slow them down or kill them lol

They are so slow anyways, why would you want to slow them down more? Most chameleons have to be tempted to eat them because they are slow brown flat things. :) Flip them on their backs and they stay in one spot while kicking their legs around drawing attention to themselves!

Duuuh - why didnt I think of that! lol

These little fellas are really quick! Combine that with a very slow and not very sure footed cham due to MBD and they need to be slowed down! I'll def try putting them in upside down when they have gutloaded!
