American Bird Grasshopper & Obscure Bird Grasshopper as Feeders

So the weather is warming up here in Florida so I know the grasshoppers will start showing up soon. I want to know if anyone has ever tried breeding American Bird (Schistocerca americana) and/or Obscure Bird Grasshoppers(Schistocerca obscura). If so, do you have any tips?

I've had this post up for a couple of days and had a lot of looks but no replies. Just wanted to try to bring the subject into discussion. :D

Schistocerca species are great feeders for larger chameleon species. I'm currently working with two other species from the genus Schistocerca. Before feeding you may want to pinch off the larger hopping legs the can be formidable for a chameleon to eat.

Thanks for the advice. Glad someone finally responded lol. Thought about pinching the back part where the spikes are but I don't. If my Veiled has gotten quite large by the time I've established the two hopper species then I'll just let it ride. If he has any problem with the first one then I'll start pinching the legs off. What do you feed the two species you're working with? And what are they?

They eat most everything that is green that I put in their cages (black berry bramble etc..). I have got Schistocerca nitens and shoeshone.
Ok cool. I was hoping to give them a diet of various fruits and veggies instead of their normal diet of plants. At least I know one thing they should eat. Thanks
