There is always a small amount of risk when feeding live, however it is a very common practice.

Mhm, the larger the rodent the more dangerous it is. It is safer to feed dead.

its dangerouus for many reasons.

Often the mouse/rat doesnt die right away, and will fight to get out of the mouth, cratching with claws, etc.. And can harm the "Predator"

Thats just one reason

because in the wild, sometimes the mouse gets in a few good licks.. which is fine in the wild, but not something you want to happen to your expensive pet. Its the same reason you buy your food at the store, instead of taking it down with rocks and sticks like you'd have to in the wild.. push comes to shove you could do it.. but if there is a safer way.. you'll probably do it.

First let me say that everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But, I hate when people act like live feeding is some kind of an unethical extreme practice...its very common.
