Ambanja Eating Sphagnum moss ??

I have some perches covered with sphagnum moss in my Ambanja enclosure, and I noticed some of the moss is disappearing. I thought it was just wearing off. But I just saw my Ambanja take a big bite out of it and eat it ! ..... Should I be worried ??

I just removed those perches and will never use them again, but why would he do that? and should I do anything? Like maybe feed him soft stuff to help him pass this?

Any thoughts????

All you can do pretty much is watch and make sure that it passes. Hornworms and silkworms may help and he will love them!

Some types of moss have tiny sharp spines that could injure his GI tract. Yes, I'd remove the moss just to be safe. There is no reason he should need to eat moss. He might have started out of curiosity or boredom.
