Amazon Solar Meter

This devise cannot measure uva or uvb of florescent light. Used for sunlight only.

They are talking about UV lights that put out trace amounts of UVA.

Mostly all Flo tube lights out out some UVA, usually in the 365-375 range. That is what this won't pick up the small amounts of. They are not talking about our Reptile Lamps.

The device has no way to know if the light is the sun, or a Flo. In our case where our UVB lights match the "Dangerous" Spectrums the meter is made to read.

While our Reptiles and Us, need UVB, to create D3, UVB also kills ours cells and causes Sunburns, so it is the "Dangerous" Ray's of the sun. That's what this meter is meant to detect.

It will work, how accurate it is, or how much faith I would put into it is another matter.

If someone with a solar meter and 40 dollars to spare, wanted to pick one up and compare the readings that would be very helpful for keepers with 1 Cham, that don't want to buy a meter.

Right off the bat however, it does say its only accurate to .5 which is quite alot, however maybe acceptable for our needs.
