My Cham keeps walking on the sides and floor of his cage looking for a way out. He has a 2x2x4 cage so has plenty of space.

Any ideas?

He eithe rneeds more space...

or he doesnt have enough foliage to walk on.

or hes looking for a girlfriend. ;)

This is his cage, he's only 7 months old so his cage is big for him. What do you think of the foliage?

Maybe he is looking for a girlfriend, will he ever stop?

Wow really nice enclosure, that's the perfect size, how are you hanging those plants?

I have wrapped gardening wire a few times around the pots and then tied it around the frame. It holds them really well.

I forgot to mention I have changed the plant in the left back corner for a larger one. So he must have plenty of foliage I assume? What do you think?

I will post a few more upto-date pics

I think some Chams just go through a wondering stage. Both of my male Chams started doing it at around 6 months.

Thats a really good Idea, do you have a list of all the plants you use, I need to fill my cage more

There are 3 live plants, the large one is a devils ivy or to you in the USA a pothos. The one in the left back corner is also a devils ivy just smaller. And the front one is a ficus which adds good foliage.

My Cham is 11 months and he still wanders his cage trying to find a way out. He's smart enough to know that the cage swings open, and he waits on a stick that is next to the handle that I grab to open the cage door. He hangs out there a lot, or he roams the cage, or he basks. But it's kinda funny when he waits by the handle. He waits till I open the cage, then once it is open, he quickly leaps for my arm or slowly tries to climb down the cage. It's quite funny when he tries to slowly sneak down the cage. He goes real slow and when I look at him, he has this look like "oh $hit" and quickly tries to go down the cage. It's really funny. I've even taken him out the cage and them put him back in, and as soon as I put him back in, he is looking around his cage for an escape. It's so funny. He's just sitting on a branch and his head is looking in all directions trying to find an escape.

My cham does this alll the time!!! He has a free range set up next to his cage and all around my door here it is i have the same cage as you with loads of foliage in there

He's got a nice set up in his cage, but also has a basking light and ubv fitted into his free range now as he spends alot of time on there, or in the sun on his other plant, but always wants out his cage always going up and down the door as he knows what side it opens and he knows the bottom of it opens too so he try's to escape alllll the time lol I've noticed when I'm at work and come home he is sat basking or just roaming but asoon as we are home he just has to try get out then he probably knows that were going to let him out lol ive left him and left him and he eventually stopped and went n basked or something, but most of the time i have to let him out as he is just too cute and has one over on me lol and he sooo knows this!! Lol :)

That's a fab idea!! your cham is in heaven.

Why not let him out for a walk, maybe he's just bored.....lol

I let him out on his free range daily but I think he is learning that the more he runs around his cage trying to escape the more quickly he gets taken out!

Why have you wrapped your plant pot on a plastic bag?

That was while i was setting it up,
You can see in the first picture there is no plastic bag around it....
