Aloha from Maui. Female Jackson help needed.

I live in Kula, HI where Jacksons roam free.

On my walk today my boyfriend and I came across two wild chameleons reveling in spring activities, so to speak.

The male wandered off into the trees and the female stayed prone, eyes closed, barely moving. I didn't want her to wander into the street so I have her here at my house. She has turned a bit more brown but still seems lethargic.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also I looked for local Herpetologists and the only one for HI is on another island. If anyone can refer me to someone on Maui I would appreciate that too.

Mahalo!

She is most likely heavily stressed and needs to be in heavy vegetation so she can feel secure. Lots of water and food. Unless you wish to keep her I would release her near where you found her in an area with good cover.
