Hello! I was wondering if anybody could tell me exactly how old they think my male veiled is. I want to know because I want make sure I adjust his diet for when he becomes an adult. Someone told me he looked about 4 months old, 2 months ago. Any guesses?

I took a photo with my hand in case that helps size him????? I don’t know lol.

(Also, im aware that the cage looks a bit empty, I justtttttt got him a new cage and haven’t had the chance to buy some more plants to fill it up.)

An estimate from me, although I normally do not keep Chamaeleo calypatratus, is your Veiled chameleon is about 6 to 12 months old possibly older.

If someone said they were about 4 months, around 2 months ago, I'd say about 6 months...

Unless there's a hatch date there's no solid way to tell, each cham develops differently. It looks like he's still a juvenile and has some growing to do.

I've found that my Jackson has recently started to limit himself on how much he eats. I've taken this as the sign to feed him less. Luckily, males don't have to be limited as much as females, so it's not such an urgent worry.

Keep posting update pictures. 🥰

For reference this is my female who I've had since January as a "baby", so is about 11-13 months.
