Against all odds?

Funny story, I found a tall exoterra glass enclosure for sale on Craigslist that I thought was a bargain, it's 36" tall 24" wide and 18" deep, it came with a brand new monsoon misting system, 3 light fixtures some repti bark some fake plants and a cool magnetic feeder cup for $120 bucks. When I asked the guy what the deal was, he told me it was for a veiled chameleon he had who passed, he was 7 years old!
Glass enclosure
Infrared bulb
Coil style uvb bulb
Reptibark substrate!!!
Well now isn't that something, the chameleon lived for 7 years on crickets and superworms.
I guess the lesson is to all the members who like to crucify people that don't "follow the rules" is that these are all guidelines not to be confused with the only way... thought I'd share.

I've always said there is more than one way to do things. No one right answer to the way we do things. I will generally say that most of the general advice is for the best chances for success.
I still would not advise that kind of setup for most chameleons ;).
