After 6 months hoppers finally hatched

After a 5 month diapause in the fridge and 4 weeks of warm up I finally have hoppers hatching. Counted around 60 nymphs. These were caught locally in Upstate New York.

Congrats that is awesome!!! Good luck with them! If you decide to keep it up and begin selling you have a customer right here! I too am in NY and my guys love hoppers. if I had an ounce of patience and a pinch of confidence I would attempt it myself but superworms and dubias are about my extent of breeding bugs right now.

Definitely was. I’m going to try a shorter diapause this year see if I can get more to hatch.
