Hey guys Zeus fell off his screen side last week ( actually he did it twice but I cough him the second time - I know what's the chances right ? )
Well when he fell he hit the side of his face on the big branch. He didn't knock himself out or anything but it was a good thunk . ( I have fixed the problem by putting sticks to climb up on on the side with the screen ))...js))
Now .... he's been sitting with his mouth open , and not eating or drinking
We have a vet in our town but they are a country vet office and little knowledge of lizards . Nearest vet office is 3 hours away ( I know stupid ) anyways I'm sure our vet office can get what I need I have dogs and have a good relationship with them .
What do I need to do? He's hurt his mouth oviously. Should I give him a antibiotic and some sort of pain meds ? What's the worst case senerio ? Mouth rot? dehydration because he's not drinking or eating?
I've upped his heat and humidity just in case he has a respitory infection .... I don't know I'm at a loss as usual when it come to owning a veiled chameleon.
Any advice or knowledge of medication or similar experiences would be great :/
