Advice on swapping cages during sickness

I have a 7 month ambilobe who is ready for his upgraded viv but his move isn't happening until a home reno is complete. Now he's is in a reptibreeze medium 16x16x30. I took on a 2 year old rescue that's just started treatment for sever mouth rot so he needs daily meds and syringe feeding. He is in a extra large 24x24x48. I think he would be easier to get and treat in the medium viv but I am worried about my 7 month picking up something in the extra large rescues enclosure. Is that a realistic concern? Thanks

Yes very much so it would have to be thoroughly cleaned with a disinfectant every inch go the cage along with all of plants and decor.

What would the actual concerns be? Bacteria from the mouth rot, Parasites? Thanks!

Mouth rot usually involves a bacteria called pseudomonas aeruginosa and it can be found almost everywhere...
